As a participant in The Madeira Experience retreats or travel services, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions:
Travel Updates
Portugal, including Madeira, is open to international tourism. Guests are advised to regularly review current entry requirements and travel guidelines on visitportugal.com. We will notify you of significant changes as needed.
Payment Terms
Full payment is due 60 days prior to your retreat or tour start date. A non-refundable deposit of $500 per person is required to secure your reservation. Prices are quoted per person and exclude airfare.
If travel restrictions from your country of residence prevent you from joining the retreat, you will receive a voucher equal to the amount paid or a full refund.
You agree to provide accurate and current payment and account information. Notify us promptly of any updates to your payment method, email address, or payment details. All prices and transactions are in US dollars. Prices are subject to change, and we reserve the right to correct pricing errors.
We reserve the right to refuse bookings placed by resellers or distributors or any booking that appears suspicious.
Travel and Medical Insurance
You are responsible for securing suitable travel and health insurance. We strongly recommend purchasing comprehensive travel insurance at the time of booking.
The Madeira Experience will not be liable for any medical, financial, or other liabilities incurred due to inadequate insurance coverage.
Guest Cancellation Policy
Cancellation fees apply based on the timeline below:
* Cancellations 90 days or more before the retreat start date: full refund minus the non-refundable deposit and credit card fees.* Cancellations between 66-89 days prior: refund only if your spot can be filled, minus non-refundable deposit and credit card fees.* Cancellations 65 days or less prior: forfeiture of the entire retreat payment.
Exceptions cannot be made due to advance commitments with accommodations and service providers. No credits or refunds are provided for late arrivals or early departures.

The Madeira Experience Cancellation Policy
If The Madeira Experience must cancel or reschedule a retreat for any reason, you may transfer your payment to another available retreat date or receive a refund.
We are not responsible for external costs incurred due to a canceled retreat, including flights, accommodations, lost wages, or other preparations.
Passports, Visas, and Documents
It is your responsibility to obtain a valid passport, required visas, and other necessary travel documents for entry into Portugal.
Booking
Solo travelers booking double occupancy will be paired whenever possible. If pairing isn't available, upgrading to single occupancy may be necessary, and we will notify you promptly.
We reserve the right to deny any booking and will provide a full refund or credit if such action is taken.
During Your Trip
We reserve the right to refuse or remove any participant whose behavior disrupts the retreat without liability or obligation for refunds.
The Madeira Experience is not responsible for participants who leave the retreat early or participate in activities outside the scheduled itinerary.
Force Majeure
The Madeira Experience will not be liable for any loss, damage, or delays caused by circumstances outside our control ('force majeure'), including but not limited to natural disasters, pandemics, wars, strikes, civil disturbances, government actions, terrorism, transportation disruptions, or health emergencies. No refunds will be issued unless we receive compensation from suppliers, which will then be passed onto participants.
General Waiver
Participation in any activities during the retreat is voluntary. You acknowledge potential risks and agree not to hold The Madeira Experience liable for any injury, loss, or property damage incurred during the retreat.
Consult your physician prior to participating in physical activities such as hiking, yoga, or workshops. Follow all instructions for your safety.
Limited Liability
You agree to release and hold harmless The Madeira Experience, its affiliates, partners, employees, volunteers, sponsors, or representatives from all claims related to injury, illness, death, property damage, defamation, emotional distress, or violation of privacy rights.
Privacy Policy
Personal information collected is used solely for retreat management, communications, and promotional activities.
User Data
We are not liable for the loss or corruption of your personal data and disclaim responsibility for any resulting claims.
Photo/Video Release
By participating in our retreats, you grant The Madeira Experience permission to use your image in photos or videos for promotional and commercial purposes without restriction or compensation.
Acceptance
By making a booking, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and accepted these Terms & Conditions.
